Via ariss_tenoh, new Fafner to come out Autumn 2014. See the PV here). It's a bit...dour. :P
So, the Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi ~Yokozawa Takafumi no Baai~ movie is coming out in March 2014 (official site with PV here). As I haven’t been reading this series I didn’t realize there were already FOUR books out! I really can’t get myself to care enough to read the book(s) or watch the movie. Can anyone highly recommend this?
In Sekai Ichi news I do care about, the blu ray box set of the two tv seasons is coming out in March as well (see the announcement on the official site). Now this I want. I already ordered the Natsume Yuujincho OVA, I don’t think I can afford to get this 38,000 yen box, but…how can I not? If I get a tax refund maybe I'll spend it on this...
Speaking of the Nasume OVA, Amazon Japan has a different shipping cost for international orders? I was expecting minimum 2,500 yen EMS shipping, but there was something called "Amazon priority" that was 800 yen per order (plus the per item cost). So much more affordable! Is this a trackable shipping method? If it is, I am tempted to go with Amazon instead of honto.jp because my order from November still hasn’t come. ;_;
I am on a Natsume withdrawal. Finished it all (the final arc in the fourth season was depressing as hell, and annoying because of the stupid selfish girl who grew up to be a stupid selfish teen who should’ve just been *drowned* to put her and everyone else out of their misery) and need more. I found one drama cd bit that was an extra on a DVD (a hilarious story of a sick Natori and his shiki who want to make him “nabe yaki don don” XDXD) but nothing else. I think there are more drama CDs, no? Must….find….
I bought a pint of seasonal peppermint gelato made by a local company. It has bits of peppermint candy in it and it is oh-so-good. I was worried I was too late as it is after Christmas, but they still had it in stock! ♥

I thought I was the only one O_O But no, sorry, can't recommend it as I completely share your sentiments. XD Better luck!
On Sekaiichi though... I think I will stick to the anime for a while. I haven't been very happy with the more recent chapters. But then again, I only read Ritsu's arc so.
I only follow through the tankobon so not sure if you are talking about the chapters that's not been collected yet, but I'm a bit worried about the new character that showed up in volume 8. I hope he doesn't turn out badly...
I have mixed feelings about him... But all I hope is he doesn't turn out to be another Yokozawa because, dude, I was sooo happy when the guy was FINALLY taken out of the picture so the focus is finally on Takano and Ritsu and not Takano and his seven exes. XD
Sorry. I tend to be biased when it comes to Ritsu lol.
*laughs* I can relate. I like Ritsu very much as well. XD
Ritsu bias aside though, I have to say I don't like it when people say Ritsu's arc only shows things from Ritsu's POV. I'm sorry but I have to say in Ritsu's arc alone, I've seen enough to tell me how unfair Yokozawa was to Ritsu. The guy's mind was totally closed! I mean, sure, he's head over heels for Takano so obviously he would take his side, but to me that just doesn't justify how he behaved towards Ritsu.
I highly recommend the Yokozawa books! I actually hated Yokozawa in the manga because he was such an asshole to poor Onodera, but after reading the books, I came to really like him because he's painted in a much more sympathetic light and you also get to see things from his point of view.
Even though us manga readers got to see Onodera's thought processes and knew that he had a reason for running away from Takano, from Yokozawa's point of view, Onodera was the bastard who played around with Takano before running away without a word and leaving behind a broken-hearted and depressed Takano, and Yokozawa had to clean up the mess. And just when Yokozawa thought Takano had finally gotten over Onodera and had his life back on track, Onodera swept back into their lives and snatched away the man Yokozawa loved from right under his nose. So it's really understandable why Yokozawa behaved the way he did towards Onodera.
Also, the Yokozawa-Kirishima pairing is my absolute favourite of all the Sekaiichi Hatsukoi pairings! For once we actually have a mature couple who, despite having their share of the usual BL tropey miscommunication problems, never let it drag out too long to the point that it gets too frustrating. Also, since the both of them are workaholics, I find that we get to learn a few more tidbits about how the publishing industry works in his books compared to the manga (where it's mostly played up for comic relief. Especially since Yokozawa is from the sales side, not the manga editing department like most of the other characters, so we get to see a different angle to it too.Plus it helps that there's the whole pseudo two-"daddies"-with-a-daughter setup that totally gets me since I have a mega soft spot for this kind of thing. XD
Sorry for the giant wall of text, I think you can tell I really love the Yokozawa books. ^_^;; (I wouldn't even call myself a huge fan of the Sekaiichi manga, but I really like the Yokozawa novels.) So to cut a long story short, I would definitely recommend that you give the Yokozawa books a try. :)
So it's really understandable why Yokozawa behaved the way he did towards Onodera.
That from Yokozawa's POV it was understandable was obvious from the manga, too, but his haranguing of Ritsu in the manga was just too much for me to take. :P I just may be too attached to the main characters in the manga to give a chance to Yokozawa, frankly. Doesn't help that I don't actually like spin-offs that much.
Though...I do like two parents and a kid set-ups. Maybe one of these days. I think I even own the first book, though I have no idea where it is (I own too many books, obviously).
